Scott has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys since 1993. Membership in this organization is by invitation only to attorneys whose law practice maintains the highest standard of ethics, competence and professionalism. In 2009, Scott became a Fellow of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys, a specialty division of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys created in April of 2009. http://www.adoptionattorneys.org.

In 2006 Scott was honored as an Angel in Adoption by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute. Each year, the CCAI sponsors Angels in Adoption, their signature public awareness program, which provides a unique opportunity for Members of Congress to honor an individual or entity that has made an extraordinary contribution on behalf of children in need of homes. Ms. Grace Allen is the assistant to Scott E Myers. Grace has 20 years of adoption experience. She drafts adoption law documents, collects any required supporting documentation, and prepares files for court appearances. She is the person who contacts clients, agencies, the courts, ICPC administrators and other people involved in the adoption process.
